Mental And Physical Health Services

In partnership with the NJ Commission for the Blind & Visually Impaired and New Eyes for the Needy, NESF offers free eye screenings and corrective lens vouchers to eligible consumers.  This service occurs on the 3rd Wednesday of every month.  Consumers are seen on a first come, first serve basis.   We also administer HIV testing every 3rdThursday of every month.

In partnership with the Orange Affordable Care Act Navigator Project, NESF provides assistance with Affordable Healthcare applications by a certified Program Navigator.  During the enrollment period, assistance is provided at both the FSC at Newark Beth Israel and our main location at 982 Broad Street.

In partnership with the United Way of Essex and West Hudson, we are a VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program site where residents, with an income of $53,000 or less, can have their income tax prepared for at no cost.  This program is seasonal.
